The first week will primarily be a time of getting to know each other and the dictates of the class. I will be giving diagnostic tests to evaluate the strengths and weaknesses of the students. My instruction, while following all the mandates of the Georgia Performance Standards, will focus on key areas of concern. The first assignment is to read, sign, and return the plagiarism statement attached to the student syllabus. This signed document is due Wednesday, August 13, and will count as the first homework grade. I look forward to a great year of reading and writing with you!
